Classic sausage balls are an ideal appetizer to enjoy with your family while everyone is opening presents at Christmastime. They’re also a surprisingly great finger food for any occasion.
In addition, you can also enjoy sausage balls for breakfast, plus they’re great to freeze and re-heat.
Watch how I make them in the video below then skip down to the bottom to get my exact recipe.
Classic Sausage Balls Ingredients
- 1 lb. country sausage
- 2 cups Bisquick (or your preferred biscuit mix)
- 1 lb. shredded cheddar (I use half mild, half sharp)
Instructions
Mix ingredients together and bake in 350º oven for about 20-25 minutes.
If you make more than you need you can freeze them. In fact I do this! I usually freeze about half of the sausage balls as soon as I make them, then I can take them out when I need them later in December. If you decide to store these in your freezer, when you’re ready to serve them, just take them out of the freezer and heat in a 350º oven until hot.
I also mention my homemade biscuit recipe in this video. Watch it here.
