How to Make Restaurant Style Chips and Salsa Recipe

This super easy recipe comes together in just a few minutes and both the tortilla chips and the salsa can be used in a variety of other recipes.

Ingredients for making Restaurant Style Chips and Salsa Recipe

For the chips:

  • Corn tortillas
  • Cooking oil

For the salsa:

  • Canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion (ideally a white onion)
  • Minced garlic
  • Jalapeño (or serrano) peppers
  • Cilantro
  • Lime or lime juice
  • Salt to taste

Combine desired amounts of the salsa ingredients in a blender and blend until it is the right consistency. Add salt to taste. In the video, I use two cans of diced tomatoes, about 1/4 white onion, about 1 tsp. minced garlic, two whole jalapeño peppers (leave out the seeds if you don’t want your salsa too spicy!), a handful of fresh cilantro, about a tsp. of lime juice (because I didn’t have any fresh limes on hand) and salt to taste.
